BARAGUMU

Baragumu African Fellowship is our worship community praising God in Swahili. Many of our neighbors are refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo and the surrounding countries. Houston is their new home, and Gethsemane is proud to be their new church.
Worship in Swahili is at 11:15 a.m. on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall, with Sunday School immediately before at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Aoci Elize is the leader of the Fellowship and teaches every Sunday. Aoci immigrated from Congo by way of a Kenyan refugee camp. There’s Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
