Advent at Gethsemane

As we anticipate the birth of Jesus during Advent, what will it mean when the Savior actually arrives? What will be different? What are we really waiting for? Jesus’ arrival, born in a manger, signals to us that something new has begun, a new Kingdom has been inaugurated, a return to God’s intention for creation. In St. Luke’s messages during the Advent season, we will see how Jesus actually fulfills the prophecies of the promised Messiah and sets into motion a kingdom of hope, of peace, of joy, and of love.

Mientras anticipamos el nacimiento de Jesús durante el Adviento, ¿qué significará cuando el Salvador realmente llegue? ¿Qué será diferente? ¿Qué estamos esperando realmente? La llegada de Jesús, nacido en un pesebre, nos señala que algo nuevo ha comenzado, se ha inaugurado un nuevo Reino, un retorno al propósito de Dios para la creación.
