CONNECTING OUR COMMUNITY OF

NEW SERMON SERIES:
THE LIFE THAT REALLY IS LIFE
St. Paul writes to his protege Timothy, a young pastor in Ephesus, admonishing him to teach his congregation “not to be haughty or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches but rather on God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.” It is Sir Winston Churchill who said “We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give.” We can choose to live with open hands, open hearts, ready to both enjoy what we receive from God and enjoy giving away our time, our energy, our love, our resources. Throughout October, we will learn together how to take hold of The Life That Really is Life.
