Children’s Ministries
The Children’s Ministry at Gethsemane is designed to help our children build a spiritual foundation that lasts a lifetime. Sunday mornings is where the learning begins! All K-5th graders are invited to the Children’s Wing at 10:30 am for a fun morning full of activities for all grade levels.
WHAT SUNDAY MORNING LOOKS LIKE:
10:30am – 11:15am Children’s Sunday School
At Gethsemane we believe that the two most important components of the Sunday School hour are to build faith-filled relationships with the children and share the Bible story. We provide a variety of activities to help foster relationships and relate the Bible to their daily lives.
11:15am – 11:45am Children’s Choir with Ms. Amy
During Children’s Choir children learn about the basics of music theory, how to sing together and discover that singing is a special way to praise! The children sing during Kinship Sundays and many other special events. If your child loves music, we would love to have them add to our melodies!
11:45am – 12pm Snack Time
All the children are given a hearty snack. We do, however, ask that if your child has any allergies or food restrictions, you provide a snack for them.
12:00pm – 12:20pm Children’s Church
During this time, we start with our weekly “Highs” and “Lows”, debrief our Sunday School lesson where everyone gets to share what they learned earlier in the morning, what was something that stood out to them, and something they want to learn more about and finish up with prayer and prayer request.
12:20pm – 12:45pm Free Time
Our children love a competitive round of freeze dance! We usually take this time to do free and independent play either inside the classroom or out on the children’s playground.
